Yoga Study & Teacher Training
Pure Yoga is offering a Yoga Study & Teacher Training led by Intuitive Healer/E-RYT 200 & Founder of Pure Yoga, Suzy Schaak. What makes this program unlike any other in the Twin Cities is that it interweaves Suzy's unique intuitive gifts into every aspect of the course. Students walk away with an incredible understanding of how the physical and energetic bodies work together to create optimal wellness through yoga.
The 200 Hour Study will begin in February and finish in August. We will meet every Wednesday evening each month as well as one full weekend intensive each month.*

Pure Yoga’s 200 Hr Yoga Study / Teacher Training is a Vinyasa Flow based training. However, we are bringing in many specialists to introduce students to:
- An experiential Anatomy and Physiology section in which students will actively participate by “doing” and “teaching” each pose to solidify their understanding.
- The deep, rich History and Philosophies of Yoga.
- An in-depth study of the Chakra System
- Healing Meditations & Pranayama
- An Intro to Ayurveda, “The Science of Good Health”
- Special Populations, such as practicing through pregnancy or coming back from injury.
- Other disciplines of yoga such as: Therapeutic Yoga, Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Yin & Ashtanga.
As graduates, our students will greatly deepen their knowledge of the healing aspects of yoga. They will also walk away with the confidence to sequence, theme and teach their own yoga class if desired! One of the best ways to learn these skills is practice. Therefore, we will have all the teachers in training experience the planning process of our Karma Yoga Project. This is an event that our Pure Yoga community loves!
Pure Yoga Yoga Study ensures that you will receive personalized attention with smaller class size.
Each student receives 20 FREE classes at Pure Yoga while you are in training.
We video record each session in the event of an absence or desire to go back and review the class.
We guarantee you will get to know your lead instructor, Suzy, and the other specialists well, forming lasting bonds with these instructors and your classmates alike.
Lead Trainer, Suzy Schaak is a passionate Yogini and has worked with thousands of students in her yoga classes, workshops, and healing practice. She opened her studio, Pure Yoga, 9 years ago to create a welcoming gathering place where River Valley residents could stretch body, mind, and spirit. Pure Yoga has won “The Best Yoga Studio in the River Valley” every year since 2011 as well as being a finalist for “Best Yoga Studio in the Twin Cities” in City Pages.
Shortly after opening the studio, Suzy began her healing practice, working with individuals in private sessions to help them reconnect with their natural state of wellness. She has guided individuals through life challenges with stunning results. Her meditative yoga classes (which incorporate her healing gifts) have become very popular and has a devoted following.
“This training was so powerful. The asana practice which began each session was the perfect preparation for the guided meditations. Suzy's gentle and sure guidance allowed me to experience my own life force in a way that was very real. This changed my life in the best possible way". LN
“I came into this training with the intention of using it to help others and I walked away realizing how much it profoundly changed my own life. “ JH
“I just loved it! It was really the best training I've ever gone to! Can't say enough about how good it was!” Micki
“Suzy has such an amazing ability to connect with her students. I felt safe and willing to try things that are very much out of my comfort zone. If you ever have a chance to take a class with Suzy, take it!” -TJ
