Beginners Yoga Foundations ~ Workshop Series

We are excited to invite you to our Beginners Yoga Foundation workshop series. Whether you're a complete newbie or looking to brush up on your skills, this series is perfect for you! We've designed it to help you establish a solid foundation for your yoga practice in a fun and friendly environment. Get ready to learn the basics of yoga poses, breathing techniques, and meditation. Your yoga journey starts here!

6 In-Studio Hours: 4 Consecutive Saturdays: 12:30-2:00 pm

In module one, students can expect to learn about the first limbs of yoga, the foundations that support the other six limbs. Behavior, social conduct, self-discipline, and personal care will be discussed and thematically interwoven throughout the class. Breathwork and physical postures will be introduced, and the participants will move through a concise, slow flow to practice what they've learned.

 
In the second module, students will review what was learned in module one. Additionally, the students will learn about the third and fourth limbs of yoga: physical postures and breath awareness. Sun salutation variations will be taught and students will connect their breath to their movement. The class will conclude with a gentle synchronous flow at all levels.
 
Module three marks a continuation of the learning journey, with a revisit to the knowledge gained in modules one and two. Students will learn to control their senses and turn inward. New breathwork, postures, and dristana (single-point focus) will be introduced. The students will move through an all levels flow and close with a guided meditation.
 
We will wrap up the Beginner's Yoga series in module four. Throughout the period of instruction, the teacher will thematically strand the six limbs of yoga into the students mind-body class, and the students will learn the importance of stillness and continuous focus as they engage in mantra and visualization meditation.
