Refresh your wardrobe, connect with community, and give backâthis is conscious âshoppingâ at its best. Join us at True Love Yoga for a relaxed and welcoming Spring Clothing Swap, where you can clear out your closet and leave with new-to-you, gently loved pieces.
This event is rooted in the yogic principles of aparigraha (non-attachment) and seva (selfless service)âan opportunity to release what no longer serves you, reduce waste, and support others in the process. By choosing to swap instead of shop new, youâre making a small but meaningful impact on the planet.
At the end of the event, all unclaimed items will be donated to Amethyst Place, a Kansas City organization that supports women and children on their journey from crisis to stability through housing, healing, and supportive services. Your contributions help extend care beyond our studio walls and into the wider community.
How it works:
⢠Bring gently loved, clean
clothing with you on the day of the event (no drop-offs ahead of
time)
⢠Upon arrival, check in and place your items in the designated
areas
⢠Browse, try on, and take home pieces that feel like a fitâno
limits, just mindfulness
⢠Stay, connect, and enjoy a casual, community-centered
atmosphere
This is a come-as-you-are gatheringâno pressure, no perfection. Just a chance to share, connect, and practice mindful consumption together.
⨠Please register in advance so we can plan
accordingly
đż All are welcome

LÄŤlÄ: Open & Receive
Sunday, May 3 ¡ 12:30â2:00 PM
True Love Yoga
This monthâs LÄŤlÄ practice centers on Anahata, the Heart Chakraâthe space of connection, compassion, and integration. As we move into late spring, weâre invited to soften, expand, and open to both giving and receiving.
Through a steady, breath-led vinyasa practice, weâll explore heart-opening shapes, shoulder and hip integration, and the balance between strength and surrender. Our peak postures, Supta Baddha Konasana and Supta Virasana, offer an opportunity to gently open the front body while cultivating steadiness, awareness, and trust.
This is an intermediate-level practice, with thoughtful progressions and options offered throughout to support both depth and accessibility.
This practice includes:
-
Breath-led movement to open the chest, shoulders, and hips
-
Subtle backbending and supported heart-opening postures
-
Pranayama, mantra, and guided journaling
-
A closing meditation to anchor into presence and compassion
Come as you are, and allow yourself to soften into what is here. This is a space to listen, to feel, and to reconnectâwith yourself and with others.
Bring a journal and anything that helps you feel supported
Sunday, June 7 ¡ 12:30â2:00 PM
True Love Yoga
This monthâs LÄŤlÄ practice centers on Vishuddha, the Throat Chakraâthe space of truth, expression, and authentic voice. As we move into early summer, weâre invited to open not just the body, but the channels through which we speak, share, and connect.
Through a dynamic, breath-led vinyasa practice, weâll explore the relationship between heart opening and self-expressionâhow what we feel and what we say are deeply connected. Our peak posture, Urdhva Dhanurasana (Wheel Pose), offers a powerful opportunity to expand the front body, energize the nervous system, and access both courage and vulnerability.
This is an intermediate-level practice, with thoughtful progressions and options offered throughout to support both depth and accessibility.
This practice includes:
-
Shoulder, chest, and spine preparation for deeper backbending
-
Breathwork to support openness and steady energy
-
Exploration of voice, sound, or subtle mantra
-
Guided journaling and a closing meditation to integrate
Come ready to open, to listen, and to expressâon your mat and beyond.
Bring a journal and anything that helps you feel supported
