Feminine Hygiene Drive for Rose Brooks Center
Feminine Hygiene Drive for Rose Brooks Center All Month Long – MarchAt True Love Yoga This March, True Love Yoga is honored to support Rose Brooks Center, a Kansas City organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence so individuals and families can live free from abuse. For the entire month, we will be collecting feminine hygiene products, toiletries, and women’s underwear (all sizes) to donate directly to Rose Brooks Center. These everyday essentials are some of the most needed—and most impactful—items for individuals and families rebuilding their lives. Each year, Rose Brooks Center reaches more than 14,000 individuals and pets through emergency shelter and comprehensive community-based programs. Beyond providing immediate safety, they offer therapy and counseling services, court advocacy, hospital advocacy, community education, youth and prevention programs, pet sheltering, and long-term housing support. Their work is rooted in three foundations of care: Keeping Families Safe, Creating a Safer Community, and Ending the Cycle of Violence. At True Love Yoga, we believe yoga extends beyond the mat. It’s about compassion in action, community care, and showing up for our neighbors in tangible ways. Supporting Rose Brooks aligns deeply with our commitment to inclusivity, dignity, and empowerment for all. Donation bins will be available in the studio lobby throughout March. Together, we can help provide comfort, stability, and hope.

  • Yin Yoga to unravel deeply held tension

  • Myofascial Release to free up stagnation in body and mind

  • Guided Journaling to reflect and reorient

  • Yoga Nidra to integrate and restore at a soul level

Through stillness, sensation, and subtlety, you’ll be invited to clear internal space and plant seeds of intention for the season ahead.Come for:

  • Nervous system nourishment

  • Emotional clearing and reset

  • Deep connection to your inner wisdom

All are welcome. No experience necessary.

The Cycle of Your Practice
Apr 25, 2026 - Apr 25, 2026

The Cycle of Your Practice

Saturday, April 25th | 1:00–3:00PM
In Person + Online
With Raven
$25 per person | TLY Members save $5 with code WORKSHOP

Our bodies move in cycles—yet so often, our practices don’t reflect that rhythm. This two-hour workshop is an invitation to slow down and deepen your understanding of the menstrual cycle and how it can inform, support, and even transform your yoga practice.

Open to all bodies who menstruate, regardless of gender expression, this offering creates a supportive and educational space to explore the physical, energetic, and emotional shifts that occur throughout the cycle. Together, we’ll look at how each phase may show up on the mat—and how to adapt your movement practice with compassion and awareness.

Students can expect:
• A guided discussion on the phases of the menstrual cycle, the benefits of cycle tracking, and how each phase may influence energy, strength, and focus in practice
• A Hatha/slow vinyasa flow designed to mirror the arc of the cycle, with variations offered for each phase
• Dedicated time for journaling and reflection
• Light cycle-themed refreshments and space for connection in community

This workshop is about empowerment through understanding—honoring your body’s natural intelligence and learning to practice in alignment with it rather than against it.

Please bring a notebook and pen or pencil for reflection.

Spring Clothing Swap
May 2, 2026 - May 2, 2026

Spring Clothing Swap

Saturday, May 2nd | 1:00–3:00PM
Hosted by Aliena
Free Event | Please register in advance

Refresh your wardrobe, connect with community, and give back—this is conscious “shopping” at its best. Join us at True Love Yoga for a relaxed and welcoming Spring Clothing Swap, where you can clear out your closet and leave with new-to-you, gently loved pieces.

This event is rooted in the yogic principles of aparigraha (non-attachment) and seva (selfless service)—an opportunity to release what no longer serves you, reduce waste, and support others in the process. By choosing to swap instead of shop new, you’re making a small but meaningful impact on the planet.

At the end of the event, all unclaimed items will be donated to Amethyst Place, a Kansas City organization that supports women and children on their journey from crisis to stability through housing, healing, and supportive services. Your contributions help extend care beyond our studio walls and into the wider community.

How it works:

• Bring gently loved, clean clothing with you on the day of the event (no drop-offs ahead of time)
• Upon arrival, check in and place your items in the designated areas
• Browse, try on, and take home pieces that feel like a fit—no limits, just mindfulness
• Stay, connect, and enjoy a casual, community-centered atmosphere

This is a come-as-you-are gathering—no pressure, no perfection. Just a chance to share, connect, and practice mindful consumption together.

✨ Please register in advance so we can plan accordingly
