As the earth begins to thaw and awaken, spring reminds us of the power in softening, surrendering, and making space for new growth. Vairagya—the yogic practice of non-attachment—teaches us to release what weighs us down so that we can root into clarity and intention.
This seasonally aligned workshop will guide you through a grounding and introspective journey using:
-
Yin Yoga to unravel deeply held tension
-
Myofascial Release to free up stagnation in body and mind
-
Guided Journaling to reflect and reorient
-
Yoga Nidra to integrate and restore at a soul level
Through stillness, sensation, and subtlety, you’ll be invited to clear internal space and plant seeds of intention for the season ahead.Come for:
-
Nervous system nourishment
-
Emotional clearing and reset
-
Deep connection to your inner wisdom
All are welcome. No experience necessary.
Bring a journal, your mat, and anything that helps you feel cozy and supported.

-
Develop increased mental focus and clarity

Spring Clothing Swap

Free Event | Please
register in advance
Refresh your wardrobe, connect with community, and give back—this is conscious “shopping” at its best. Join us at True Love Yoga for a relaxed and welcoming Spring Clothing Swap, where you can clear out your closet and leave with new-to-you, gently loved pieces.
This event is rooted in the yogic principles of aparigraha (non-attachment) and seva (selfless service)—an opportunity to release what no longer serves you, reduce waste, and support others in the process. By choosing to swap instead of shop new, you’re making a small but meaningful impact on the planet.
At the end of the event, all unclaimed items will be donated to Amethyst Place, a Kansas City organization that supports women and children on their journey from crisis to stability through housing, healing, and supportive services. Your contributions help extend care beyond our studio walls and into the wider community.
How it works:
• Bring gently loved, clean
clothing with you on the day of the event (no drop-offs ahead of
time)
• Upon arrival, check in and place your items in the designated
areas
• Browse, try on, and take home pieces that feel like a fit—no
limits, just mindfulness
• Stay, connect, and enjoy a casual, community-centered
atmosphere
This is a come-as-you-are gathering—no pressure, no perfection. Just a chance to share, connect, and practice mindful consumption together.
✨ Please register in advance so we can plan
accordingly
🌿 All are welcome
💛 Come to give, receive, and be in community
Līlā: Open & Receive
Sunday, May 3 · 12:30–2:00 PM
True Love Yoga
This month’s Līlā practice centers on Anahata, the Heart Chakra—the space of connection, compassion, and integration. As we move into late spring, we’re invited to soften, expand, and open to both giving and receiving.
Through a steady, breath-led vinyasa practice, we’ll explore heart-opening shapes, shoulder and hip integration, and the balance between strength and surrender. Our peak postures, Supta Baddha Konasana and Supta Virasana, offer an opportunity to gently open the front body while cultivating steadiness, awareness, and trust.
This is an intermediate-level practice, with thoughtful progressions and options offered throughout to support both depth and accessibility.
This practice includes:
-
Breath-led movement to open the chest, shoulders, and hips
-
Subtle backbending and supported heart-opening postures
-
Pranayama, mantra, and guided journaling
-
A closing meditation to anchor into presence and compassion
Come as you are, and allow yourself to soften into what is here. This is a space to listen, to feel, and to reconnect—with yourself and with others.
Bring a journal and anything that helps you feel supported
