Introduction to the Niyamas Workshop

Join instructor Julia Teters to learn more about the Yamas & Niyamas, otherwise known as the ethics of yoga according to yoga philosophy. This workshops will provide students with a brief overview of each Niyama including time for discussion and questions. This workshop will finish with a 30 minute yoga class based on the Niyamas.

Niyamas are the second limb of the 'Eight Limbs of Yoga' from the ancient Indian sage Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. The Niyamas refers to duties directed towards ourselves - inner observances.

Mala Bead Workshop with Japa Meditation

Join Bridget on Saturday November 13 at 1:30pm in Dunellen for this unique workshop. Learn the sacred art of mala making and how to use intention and your mala to enhance your meditation practice, mindful presence and connection to self. Bridget will guide you through the process of creating a beautiful hand made mala and infusing it with your own unique intention. A mala is a string of 108 prayer beads used in japa meditation with the recitation of mantras, affirmations or intentions. All materials will be provided, and you will leave with your own mala and the knowledge of how to use it in a japa meditation practice.

This workshop is perfect for those who are brand new to mala making or those with previous experience. Everyone is welcome! Choice of Rosewood Black Sandalwood, Tulsi Wood or Wenge Wood beads. Charms and Tassels included.

Partner Yoga

Typically, yoga is an individual practice consisting of breathwork (pranayama), poses (asana) as well as meditation and mindfulness. During this unique class, partners will connect mindfully, explore poses together while literally supporting and being supported by one another! After all, the meaning of the word yoga translates to yoke or to unite the mind, body and spirit, as well as to each other, universally.
