Unlock strength and ease with this 5 week series, focusing on
integrating neuromuscular
balance in the muscles of the pelvic floor with the rest of the
body.
Pelvic floor muscles are responsible for supporting the
abdominal organs, control of
continence, sexual function, childbirth, as well as contributing to
core stability. Pelvic floor
dysfunction can commonly be caused by childbirth, but also by hip
or back dysfunction. Overtight pelvic floor muscles can cause pain
and dysfunction as well.
Do you experience any of these symptoms?
·Pelvic pain
·Incontinence from coughing, sneezing, exercising
·Frequent urination or difficulty urinating
·Pain in lower back, hips or tailbone related to pelvic floor
muscles
Other benefits include:
·Improved bladder control
·Greater body awareness
·Reduced tension in the hips, lower back and pelvis
·Better core stability and coordination of the lower back &
pelvis
This class series uses the mindful movement and restorative approach of The Feldenkrais Method and ABM Neuromovement to enhance awareness, strength and coordination of the pelvic floor muscles, while improving overall mobility and well-being for effortless movement.
A yoga series designed for osteopenia/osteoporosis focuses on strengthening bones, improving balance, and enhancing posture through low-impact poses and mindful movement. These routines emphasize building bone density, preventing fractures, and improving overall physical well-being. Students must be able to get up and down off the floor. This series is limited to 12 students.
Over the course of 2 hours, we will practice some effective techniques that help you manage labor contractions and remain centered, relaxed and focused. Your partner will learn a handful of supportive, hands-on techniques that offer comfort and assistance for you while helping your partner feel more informed and prepared as well. We will practice breath, movements, propping, the mental aspects of labor, and how to employ a more meditative approach.
$70 per couple for the 2 hour class
Grief is a natural, normal, human response to loss. While grieving is most often associated with the death of a loved one, it is important to note that grief comes in all shapes and sizes. Any type of loss can elicit a grief response (loss of loved one, job, home, the life you once had). If you are experiencing grief of any kind, please know that you are not alone.
This monthly offering will have a relevant theme each month. Led by Emily, you will learn how grief affects the body and the mind, and how yoga helps to regulate the nervous system. Each session will explore different tools to help you navigate your grief, including but not limited to: an active yoga practice, a softer yoga practice, pranayama breathing techniques, and guided meditations.
What to expect: We will begin our time together with tea and conversation to bridge connection. Next, we will go over the tools and practices that will be explored that evening. The remainder of our time together will consist of about an hour of yoga to care for your grief and time to honor who/what you have lost.
Once you step into the room, everything is optional. There is no obligation to participate. Grief shows up differently day to day, and we deeply honor your needs. You can simply arrive and rest on your mat to be in community with other grievers, as you listen and visualize the movements/techniques in your mind. Tears are always welcome and tissues will be provided.
Come as you are. There is a place for you here.
Please Note: This workshop is not a replacement for individual therapy and counseling.

Emily was terrific - compassionate, caring, supportive and down to earth, really met the needs of all of us in session.

Join Elise in our candlelit studio for gentle restorative postures, a guided yoga nidra practice and the tones of the crystal sound bowls.
Yoga nidra aka “yogic sleep,” is a guided meditation practice that is done lying down in savasana, and is designed to bring the practitioner to a place between sleep and wakefulness.
Combined with the healing vibrations of the crystal sound bowls, this powerful, nervous system soothing practice may ease struggles with stress, insomnia, anxiety, chronic pain, burnout, overwhelm, exhaustion and more. You will leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated - one hour of yoga nidra is said to be equivalent to 3-4 hours of deep, restful sleep.
All levels welcome. Dress for comfort and bring additional cozy props like blankets, pillows and eye masks if you like!
