In her day to day life Courtney has the superhero task of helping the elderly lead fulfilling lives in their golden years. Unfortunately with this great responsibility came great stress; stress that she couldn’t shake in her day to day life. One night, as a social treat, a friend took Courtney to her first yoga class. That was the start of her transformation. After starting Yoga, it opened Courtney’s eyes to the type of life style she was living and how she could change it for the better. It wasn’t long before classes three times a week were part of her regular schedule, along with eating healthier and actually having fun. This past summer, Courtney leapt out of her comfort zone and did four weeks of SupYoga (yoga on a stand-up paddle board on a lake). The experience cultivated a new sense of strength and courage that she never knew she had. Now, nearly five years later, thirty pounds lighter and a much happier person, she is looking to become more immersed in yoga culture. She thought of no better way than by helping others to start on their journey, wherever it may lead them. Courtney looks forward to seeing you each and every Tuesday night!
