WOWYoga aims to help kids discover a strong sense of wonder,
excitement, confidence and possibility. Our goal is to provide
a warm, energetic, and downright silly environment where kids (and
families) feel welcome, connected, safe, playful and encouraged to
grow, create and transform in the best ways possible.
We focus on celebrating and fostering each child’s uniqueness through imagination, co-creation, connection and oodles of fun. We accomplish this by playing with several aspects of yoga through yoga journeys, singing, music, dancing, story-telling, games, breath work, group/partner work, creative movement, relaxation and mindfulness.
I began practicing yoga regularly after volunteering in a yoga wellness outreach program at The Carpenter Hospice. I was so inspired by the effects that it had on the participants that I immediately began my own regular practice. A year later, I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training. Yoga has brought so much greatness into my life and I can't imagine anything better than sharing it with the little people who are growing up in this world. I am a mom to two pretty awesome little girls, Ruby and Olive, and the wife of an incredibly supportive and loving husband, Nick. Through yoga I aim to allow children to connect, learn and grow in a fun and safe space and nurture the wonder of the world around them.
In 2011, I began practicing yoga and fell in love. In 2018, I became a certified yoga teacher and since then, I can’t stop this incredible desire to keep learning, growing, creating and building relationships of all kinds. I live for connections, to really use my imagination and tell stories, to teach, to sing and dance, and laugh as much as possible. When I am not teaching or practicing yoga, you might find me teaching classes and lifeguarding at the YMCA or one of our city pools; skiing, cycling, hiking and hanging out with family and friends; spending as much time as possible up north at our family cottage.
