I took my first yoga class about 9 years ago and it actually took me some convincing to try it out because I was NOT flexible, had terrible balance, not to mention I was very shy and worried I would embarrass myself. After the first class I couldn't believe the difference in my body and how amazing I felt walking away from my mat. At a point in my life when my body was under a ton of strain and I was extremely stressed and anxious most of the time, a regular yoga practice helped everything in my life get better. I became completely addicted and knew that teacher training was what I needed to do next. I enrolled in a program and have been teaching for almost 4 years now. I love being able to step onto my mat and leave everything else behind and then when I step back off of my mat everything seems a bit more calm and clear, my body and mind feel lighter. As a mom of 2 this time is now extra valuable to me, and I love being able to share this with other yogis!
