I haven’t practiced yoga in maybe 2 years so I was a little apprehensive about going back. Class was just what I needed! I will be back!
Searching for anything to help her reduce stress during graduate school, she began practicing yoga regularly in 2010. Amy received a Ph.D. in Heritage Studies from Arkansas State University in 2018 and completed the 200-hour Hatha-vinyasa teacher training at Southern Star Yoga Center in Oxford, MS the same year. It wasn’t until Amy started teacher training that she began integrating the teachings of yoga beyond asana into her daily life and using them to help develop love and compassion towards herself and others. Amy's goal as a teacher is to promote body positivity and self-acceptance, as well as to help others improve their physical and emotional well-being.
