Spanish Advanced 5 level description:
Spanish Advanced 5 is an ideal course for those who have completed Spanish Advanced 4 or possess a similar level of proficiency.
Here's an overview of the topics covered in Advanced 5:
COMMUNICATION: Talk about a job: qualities, functions, problems and feelings, describe a company, some characteristices of formal witten texts, evaluate past events, talk about unrealized events in teh past and their consequences, make reproaches, convey what others said in the past, talk about skills.
GRAMMAR: The concessive subordinate clauses: aunque, a pesar de, por mucho que..., rephrase: es decir, esto es, o sea..., exemplify: un ejemplo, por ejemplo, a modo de ejemplo, combinations of pronouns: se lo, the past perfect subjunctive, the conditional perfect, some connectors of cause and consequence.
VOCABULARY: Vocabulary fromt eh workplace, lexical cohesion resources, vocabulary from the field of education, vocabulary of biographies and live journies.

SPANISH BEGINNER 2. The SECOND segment of the comprehensive Beginner level five-course series designed for Spanish beginners.
An all-adults class.
Materials are not included in tuition.
Beginner 2 level description:
This is the perfect course for individuals who have either completed our Spanish Beginner 1 course or have some minimal experience with the Spanish language. We'll help you build upon your existing knowledge and skills to further develop your Spanish proficiency.
Here's an overview of the topics covered in Beginner 2:
COMMUNICATION: Expressing intentions, explaining the motivations for what you do, talking about what you do in different languages, describing places, expressing existence and location, talking about climate and the weather.
GRAMMAR: Gender, definite articles (el, la, los, las) and indefinite articles (un, una, unos, unas), the presente de indicativo, regular verbs ending in -ar, -er, -ir, uses of por, para and porque, uses of hay, the verb estar, the superlative, quantifiers: muy, mucho/mucha/muchos/muchas, qué, cuál, cuáles, cuántos/cuántas, dónde, cómo.
VOCABULARY: Languages, activities in language class, leisure activities, climate and the weather, geography, information about countries, cardinal points, seasons.
PHONETICS: Connectors, accentuation.

SPANISH BEGINNER 3. The THIRD segment of the comprehensive Beginner level five-course series designed for Spanish beginners.
An all-adults class.
Materials are not included in tuition.
Beginner 3 level description:
This is the perfect course for individuals who have either completed our Spanish Beginner 2 course or similar. We'll help you build upon your existing knowledge and skills to further develop your Spanish proficiency.
Here's an overview of the topics covered in Beginner 3:
COMMUNICATION: Identifying items, expressing needs, buying in shops, asking for products, asking about prices, etc., talking about preferences, talking about physical appearance and personality, expressing and comparing likes, dislikes and interests, asking about likes and dislikes, talking about personal relationships.
GRAMMAR: demonstratives: este/esta/estos/estas, esto, el/la/los + adjective, que + noun, cuál/cuáles, tener que + infinitive, the verbs ir and preferir, the verb gustar, quantifiers (muy, bastante, un poco), possessives, también/tampoco, diacritical accents.
VOCABULARY: numbers over 100, colours, clothes and accessories, objects in daily use, uses of the verb llevar, combinations with the verb ir, family, personality adjectives, music.
PHONETICS: the erre, intonation in questions.
