Nervous Nellies is a specialized Level 1 Obedience class designed to build confidence and foundational skills in shy, fearful, or anxious dogs. We'll cover all the essential obedience commands while providing a supportive and patient environment tailored to dogs who need a gentle approach.

This class is designed for dogs of all ages and focuses on essential obedience skills, including:

• Sit
• Down
• Stay
• Come
• Leave-it
• Polite leash manners
• Calm greetings with people and other dogs

Each session builds on the previous week's lessons, incorporating mild distractions to strengthen your dog's focus and reliability. We'll also address common nuisance behaviors as needed, using treats and positive reinforcement techniques to ensure a fun and effective learning experience.

Note: Puppies under 6 months old are encouraged to complete Puppy Kindergarten before joining this workshop.

This 6-week in-person class builds on the foundation learned in Puppy Kindergarten, taking your pup's training and socialization to the next level! Designed for puppies up to 6 months that have completed Puppy K. 1st Grade focuses on:

• Refined Obedience: Mastering core cues like sit, down, stay, come, and leave-it with increased distractions.
• Polished Manners: Perfecting loose leash walking, polite greetings, and impulse control.
• Confidence Building: Introducing new challenges and experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
• Fun & Games: Engaging in fun activities and games to reinforce learning and build a strong bond.

Is your dog overly excited when guests arrive or struggles to behave at the door? Our Grounded Greetings class is designed to teach your dog the skills needed for calm and polite greetings, both at the door and with visitors.

What We’ll Cover:

• Teaching your dog to settle when guests arrive.
• Helping your dog wait calmly at the door, rather than rushing through it.
• Preventing door dashing and managing excitement.
• Redirecting focus away from distractions like ringing doorbells or knocks.

Join Philly Unleashed’s Drop-In Agility Skills Class, designed for dogs with some agility foundation from our Level 1 Agility course or similar experience.
