Best IG find ever! Was visiting a friend and we took a trip out after seeing the salt and amethyst caves. Michelle did 90 min massages on each of us a it was heaven. The amethyst cave is something you must experience. The smell and sounds make it so rejuvenating. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Mika is both a yoga instructor and part of the Client Concierge team here at Flow Motion.
Mika's journey with yoga began over ten years ago when out of curiosity she joined a small Vinyasa class held in a YMCA. For her, that “first date” with yoga was “love at first asana!” Passionate about holistic health & wellness, fitness, plant-based nutrition, and natural healing from a young age, Mika's encounter with yoga felt like finding the missing piece of a jigsaw. Her dedicated practice has continued even as she has traveled, lived, and worked in a variety of places around the world, including Japan and China.
An avid practitioner of a wide variety of yoga styles, Mika feels particularly drawn to Vinyasa, Hatha, Power Flow, and Yin yoga. In addition to her RYT-200 training, Mika is also a certified Ayurveda Specialist through the Yoga & Ayurveda Center. She enjoys engaging in meditation and aroma therapy alongside her daily asana practice.
Mika aspires to positively impact others during interactions – both on and off the mat – and to make the most of every opportunity to infuse sparks of joy in their everyday experiences. Her classes are all about mindfully linking breath (pranayama) to movement, creative exploration, gratitude and creating a safe, healing space for students.
In addition to yoga, Mika is also certified in Plant-Based Nutrition through Cornell University and will soon graduate from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition as a qualified Health Coach. She is passionate about helping others by giving them the tools to improve their health through natural self-care, mindful living, personal empowerment, and greater body awareness.
When she isn't practicing yoga, working or studying, Mika enjoys spending time in nature, running, drinking tea, reading, spending time with loved ones, making delicious healthy food (smoothie bowls are her favorite), and learning languages.
