The discovery of yoga led Cassidy to find other movement practices that feed her body, heart and soul. Yoga, snowboarding and hoop dance are her ultimate passions that help incorporate the innate wisdom of flow into daily life. Her classes provide a comfortable space that allow students to find their own power. She understands that while she is there to guide, the truest teacher is ourselves. Through breath, movement, and flow she reminds her students to tune inward and listen.
Hanuman built his foundation of knowledge in the Classical Yoga lineage of Swami Sivananda. After spending 2 months in sunrise to sunset study and practice, he was officially initiated into this lineage of teachers when he received his formal Yoga Certification. Soon after, he began Mentoring with his teacher and mentor Melissa Longfellow at Flux Power Yoga. Preparing to serve the Flux community, under her guidance, through learning the principles of Baptiste Yoga and the Journey Into Power sequence.
Combining the ancient philosophy of his lineage with the dynamic practice of Power Vinyasa, he will guide you through a practice that will be physically challenging and spiritually informed, leaving you with lessons learned on the mat and lessons to take with you off the mat. Hanuman’s primary purpose is to serve the students in his class and his community through these teachings, he believes that doing this can make a positive difference in ourselves and by extension our communities.
Hanuman learned the value of practice from yoga and applies that lesson to his life off the mat. He can be found practicing his violin, Mongolian throat singing, and various other styles of movement art and physical practices. Forever a student, he is continuously seeking knowledge in healing arts and movement coaching.
Julie is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher, E-RYT 500, Certified Stand Up Paddle Yoga teacher and a Certified Personal Trainer. She lives in Bellingham, WA where she teaches and co-facilitates teacher trainings at Power Yoga Academy. Yoga has powerfully impacted Julie's life and fuels her desire to share yoga with others. Through her yoga practice, meditation and self-study she finds endless possibilities to create her life in new and inspired ways. Julie will lead you through an igniting power yoga class influenced by her own studies and years of experience. She will support and encourage you to listen to your body and stay connected to your breath. Her passion for yoga is undeniable and you will know that she is fully present for you. In Julie’s classes there is space for curiosity, connection, love and an opportunity to create something new for yourself. It is her purpose to empower others to discover their own greatness, elevating themselves, their communities and the planet. A willing spirit is all that is needed. When not teaching and training others Julie spends time with her family and friends, cooking and gardening. She spends several weeks each year committed to her own growth by being a student at trainings and workshops.
