I went yesterday for first time to Jane’s ayengar yoga class and it was super. I really enjoyed using the belts for stretching and support. I will try and go regularly moving forward to build up strength and mobility.
Alison Hunte has been working in the field of complementary and mental health for over 20 years. She originally trained as a massage therapist specialising in working in the peri-natal period and went on to become a Reiki Master. It was through this work, and her own personal journey, that she became interested in how trauma affects the body and psyche. So, in 2009 she re-trained gaining an MA in Psychotherapy. Since then, she has had extensive experience working within NHS, in universities and privately. She is a seasoned group facilitator and mental health first aid trainer.
Alison works mainly as a trauma psychotherapist, with a special interest in supporting recovery from sexual violence. In addition, as a meditator and magical practitioner, she is able to facilitate a rich and rounded healing experience for participants. Her group work is grounded both in esoteric wisdom and in the best contemporary evidence-based psychotherapeutic practice.
