I was not sure what to expect from this class except that Anna was going to teach me something new. She is such a good teacher and has a great delivery. We were doing breathing exercises laying down so all of the cueing was verbal. Anna's voice guided us gently though the class, and she encouraged us to me mindful and kind to ourselves. This was one of the most nourishing and enjoyable hours I've spent since Covid. This really was the next best thing to being with her in person.
If you have any interest in the healthful benefits of mindful breathing, I really recommend this class.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth is a Greenville, NC native and has always loved expressing herself and connecting with herself and others through movement.  After receiving her BA in Psychology from East Carolina University, Elizabeth began teaching in the developmental studies department at Pitt Community College in 2001.  Elizabeth has been a dance student since she was five years old and began running as an adult.  She began practicing yoga regularly in 2005 due to her love of movement and as a compliment to running. She began teaching dance fitness, senior fitness, and yoga/Pilates in 2010 at a local fitness center, and in 2015, Elizabeth decided to leave her position as a community college instructor to pursue a career in health and fitness.

Elizabeth was first attracted to yoga as a form of exercise and as a treatment for her anxiety and depression.  Whereas she was initially attracted to the physical elements of yoga, she now has an affinity for the spiritual element of yoga and aims to provide a sacred experience to each student in her classes.  Elizabeth received her 200hr yoga certification from The Wilmington Yoga Center in 2019.  Over the years, she has been a student of vinyasa yoga, kundalini yoga, power yoga, and gentle yoga which have all influenced her as a teacher.

Elizabeth’s yoga teaching experience includes vinyasa yoga, gentle yoga, chair yoga, 12 step yoga, and children’s yoga classes.  She has taught in a variety of settings including fitness centers, parks, corporations, a country club, college/university, and privately.

Being outdoors, spending time with her husband and friends, and teaching yoga are some of Elizabeth’s favorite pastimes.  She is also an accomplished pianist and a lover of music.  Elizabeth feels truly honored to have the privilege to share her love of yoga with students.
