Be One Yoga Studio

With his background as a Physical Therapist, Jeff brings a unique perspective to his yoga classes.  Drawing from graduate study, numerous yoga teacher trainings, and considerable experience in anatomy, human movement, and rehabilitation, he sequences his classes in a thoughtful and deliberate manner, designed for the modern yogi to learn and grow within our own bodies.  If his study of movement over the last twenty years has taught him anything, it is that no two bodies are the same, and therefore no two yogis’ asana practice will be the same.  He believes that a yoga practice is designed to take us from the place we are currently to a better place, and whether that comes in the form of a stronger body, steadier breath, a more focused mind, Jeff’s strives to make his classes both challenging and informative to all levels of practitioners, not to mention fun!  He feels that there is no right, nor wrong yoga, rather the yoga our bodies are capable of on that particular day, at that particular time. From his own personal practice, he understands that some days we might push harder, while other days we may need to back off.  Sometimes less is more.  The goal is to find that balance on the mat so that we can utilize those skills off the mat!Since transitioning from a more traditional Physical Therapy practice to teach a more personalized movement practice, Jeff has accumulated over 1000 hours of yoga teacher training. He is E-RYT 200 and RYT-500 certified, as well as a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP).  Jeff completed his 500 advanced vinyasa training with Jason Crandall. He also completed two separate 200 hour trainings in both Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga training. He also did a 100 study of Yin, Nidra, and Kriya yoga with Ali Valdez, as well as a separate Yin training with Bernie Clarke.  Outside of formal teacher trainings, Jeff has participated in numerous hours of additional coursework in areas ranging from inversions, arm balances, meditation, and pranayama, as well as dabbling in other styles of movement.  In addition, Jeff holds his Doctorate in Physical Therapy with over 15 years of practical experience in multiple treatment approaches to movement.
