Steve embraced yoga as an alternative to physical therapy after decades of alpine- and sports-related injuries. His teacher training with Yogi Aaron Star emphasized yoga as a restorative, centering practice focused on stability and mobility; workshops with Baron Baptiste and Shiva Rae have provided additional inspiration into how yoga can become a creative, spiritual and energetic focus in life. He weaves different traditions into his own unique class style, blending challenging flows with applied yoga anatomy and muscle activation (AYAMA), and shares this knowledge during teacher trainings and workshops. He holds Yoga Alliance RYT 200 and AYAMA Level 2 certifications.
