I absolutely love this class! I have only done yoga a few times and taking Lori’s class has been an amazing experience. Little by little I am noticing how my body is improving some of the poses, getting a bit stronger and helping ease the pain on my knees. Thanks Lori for your amazing energy, guidance and fun spirit!
Ashish grew up in India in an environment where the scriptures
and the Bhagavad Gita were very much a part of life. He briefly
practiced yoga in Elementary school and learned Sanskrit in Middle
and High school. He got back to the yoga practice in Jan 2015 when
his employer, Nintendo, added power yoga classes to their office
gym. He started the practice to get fitter, coming from a sedentary
lifestyle, but the practice brought him a reconnection to his
roots. The same year he completed his 200-hour Yoga Teacher
After spending 16 years as an engineer in the computer and video game industry, he decided to take a break and teach yoga. The deeper he dove in, with multiple trainings in a year, the more he was convinced this is what he wanted to do. Yoga had changed his approach to life, opening a new pathway to an almost constantly lived joy. He wanted to bring it to others.
He has since been practicing across multiple styles, having practiced in over 50 studios in Seattle. He has taught in over 15. He’s been practicing 10-20 hours a week since early 2016 and teaching 10-20 classes a week. He has advanced trainings with multiple yoga masters - Baron Baptiste, Tiffany Cruikshank and Annie Carpenter being the primary ones. He believes the learning never ends, and he learns so much from his students, not just the teachers.
Ashish teaches with a smile and brings his fun personality to his teaching, just like his own practice. He weaves in yogic philosophy while leading a challenging, but not too serious asana practice. Come in expecting to be challenged wherever you are in your practice, exploring the connection to your body and mind.
