Starr Mill Yoga
In 2015, Nick began his journey with the practice of yoga asana, initially drawn to it as a means to bring more movement and exercise into his life. After practicing regularly for several years and exploring various forms of yoga, including Vinyasa flow and Ashtanga, he eventually discovered the many gifts and wisdom that the ancient practice had to offer him, including Pranayama, meditation and Pantajai's Yoga Sutras. This moved him to deepen his practice through further training, and in 2019 he completed his 200 YTT certificate in Newington, CT. As his practice evolves through lifelong learning, he is excited to share what he has learned with others through teaching. His primary inspirations being Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga (as described in the Sutras), and the linkages between movement, breath, and meditation that help to cultivate inner peace, strengthen the body, and expand the spirit's capacity for compassion and kindness.Nick also enjoys spending time with his family, taking hikes with his dog, tending to his garden, and writing music in his spare time, among other hobbies and interests.
