I fell in love with yoga when I had the chance, in 2013, to take
a course in yoga at Seminole State. I've always loved movement and
exercise since a young age, so yoga was something I was always
curious about. I quickly fell in love with the course and yoga
itself. The physical movements felt great, but I was blown away by
the rich history, philosophies, and interconnectedness of the
practice. I found myself with so much less stress and I was
pleasantly surprised at how supportive and connected I felt within
the room. I connected deeper with my breath, my body, my mind, and
the community we created, which was something I hadn't experienced
before. I set out just curious about yoga as a movement, but
it led me down a path of personal growth that was so inspiring. I
realized that there are countless reasons that people need yoga,
whether it's just to deal with daily stress or to find
personal growth, in either case, I knew that I wanted to help
provide the opportunity for those experiences to others. After
years of a committed practice as a student, I felt confident
to pursue teacher training. With the recent pandemic, I was given
the time and opportunity to pursue that passion! I hope to inspire
students in discovering what supports them, finding their passions,
and experiencing the healing that yoga can bring!
