I love Escape so much, but I am so sad to see the Wednesday Noon class was removed. I was really looking forward to adding Wednesdays to my routine.
Emma distinctly remembers being drawn to yoga from a young age. After taking a class with her mom in her teen years, she fell in love with the space that was created in her body and mind. Emma first began deepening her yoga practice on and off the mat in college, attending studio classes, developing a home practice and studying the physical and spiritual elements of yoga.
Emma graduated with her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification from Maui Yoga Shala in 2019. Emma is especially inspired by the teachings of Viniyoga, and the healing and creative potential of the Yoga tradition. She is especially connected to the values of function over form, breath and adaptation, and the art of sequencing. As a new teacher, Emma is passionate about teaching yoga that feels both light and grounding. She loves to help her students feel strong and empowered, and inclusive of their own experience. As a student at Escape, Emma is thrilled to be joining the Escape team as a teacher, and to connect with the community in new and meaningful ways.
When not teaching or taking classes, Emma can be found chasing around her Bernese Mountain Dog, running, bird watching, and making a mess in the kitchen.
