If you are a neophyte at Yoga or a seasoned practitioner, Greenhouse Yoga is the place to go. I am a middle aged guy who has very tightly wound muscles and is not very flexible. I road bike, play squash and snowboard but always feel sore the day after.  My wife got me into yoga over the summer but I went infrequently. Recently, I threw my lower back out and could not do any sports for nearly a month. In that time, I went to Greenhouse Yoga almost 5 days per week. Under the tutelage of Alex and at times Patrick, I gained more flexibility and range of motion. As it turns out, many of the movements and stretches work on the lower back (along with your hamstrings, calves quads, hip flexors arms and trunk) while also building up your core. I am not naturally flexible and my body cannot do some of the poses and stretches. But at Greenhouse nobody judges you or tries to push you to do something you are not comfortable doing. After time, I noticed I naturally pushed myself as I got more familiar with the various poses and movements. All the teachers have a very gentle, soothing yet inspiring style that really engages everyone in the class. The studio is clean, well lit and calming. My only regret is that I did not discover Yoga earlier in my life! if you want a great cross training activity that really prepares your mind and body for most any athletic endeavor, I strongly recommend taking a Yoga class at Greenhouse Yoga. You will not be disappointed!

A welcoming studio with great vibe.   The heat is hot enough to create a great sweat but not intense or depleting.   The teachers are experienced, the music is good and the energy of natural light and greenery make it easy to zone into your practice.  This is a hidden little gem in the Berkshires.  Love it!

A cozy home for hot yoga enthusiasts. The space is brimming with succulents, warm light, and soulful music. The teachers are knowledgeable, each with their own thoughtful and caring approach. Get a workout and create space in your body and mind to let the good stuff in.

Every time I go to Alex’s class I ask myself why I don’t get there more often... It’s incredible in every way.

What a sweet, lovely yoga studio! I rented a house in the area this summer and although I was a newbie to hot yoga (with a regular non-hot practice), I decided to commit to trying it for 6 weeks. Alex, the owner and principal teacher, was super supportive and such a wonderful instructor that I was soon feeling like a veteran. If you are new to hot yoga definitely bring a towel and water. The heat isn’t oppressive at all but it does make you sweat.  At the end of the session the teacher also provides a much-appreciated cold lavender towel. Somehow (I think because of vacation schedules) I only took two classes with other teachers but they were also great and wouldn’t hesitate to practice with them again.

Alex is welcoming and her studio is beautiful. The heated studio was intense but not overbearing and as we settled in for sivasana, she distributed cold lavender washcloths. It was thoughtful and just right! The asanas were very well cued and I will certainly return.

Alex has a beautiful studio. The heat adds to the experience. I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of both Alex’s and Patrick’s classes and would drive 30 minutes for them again. The lavender towels to finish are one the best parts! Thank you!

Greenhouse Yoga is the perfect complement to any stay in the Berkshires. The studio is alive with lots of plants and tons of natural light pouring in. The temperature of the room is also the perfect level of heat to help with digging into the stretches. Alex is an excellent instructor, really helping guide everyone through the class and make sure every student is comfortable in the poses for all different levels. I left the class feeling refreshed and invigorated, excited to continue a beautiful day in the Berkshires. Couldn't recommend the studio and teacher more!
