I’ve been missing from yoga for a couple years now & am thrilled to be back with this wonderful studio. This morning’s online gentle yoga with Sarah was the most perfect re-introduction. Welcoming, easy to access, generous invitations and permissions to care for my own
body & breathing. So good to be back.
I am passionate about exploring practices that offer a gentle blend of Yin, Restorative and Gentle Yoga styles rooted in tradition and lineages from my teachers and their teachers. Adding the compassionate energy of Reiki with Earth-honoring, nature-based traditions is important to weave together a practice that helps us to connect to resilience and vitality in a safe and embodied way.
This work is a weaving that isn’t separate from my normal daily life. My yoga practice is always open to sacred time drawing on intuition and deep connection with nature’s wisdom and my yogic teachings. You may find me in Vrikshasana (tree pose) in forests or at the water’s edge of the Salish Sea. Savasana with the banana slugs or a Chandra Namaskara (Moon Salutation) in front of a campfire.
In the summer of 2021 I began a 6 months course-work in Polyvagal Theory: How the Body Makes Decisions, Somatic Awareness and Conscious Movement. Learning tools to integrate this work to heal Individual, Ancestral and Collective Trauma in sustainable ways. How to build sustainable communities with Trauma Informed Meditation, Yoga and other Energetic Movement Practices alongside Breathwork.
