Excellent Take Flight workshop this afternoon with David, really enjoyed it. Took us through a series of warm-ups concentrating on wrists, shoulders, ribs and hips - there’s a song there  - before moving on to various ways of getting in to crow and side crow. Some really ‘nasty’ leg lifts followed on to headstands, handstands and variations giving us the confidence to have a go using props if necessary. Hopefully this workshop will run again and I’ll definitely sign-up

Camilla
Camilla Walker has been practicing yoga for 8 years, and qualified in July 2016 at YogaLondon. Camilla believes yoga is a three dimensional practice which can profoundly benefit the wellbeing of the mind, body and soul. Her faith in its healing potential comes from first-hand experience of yoga’s restorative power in recovery from severe depression, and burnout after a hectic city lifestyle. After studying English at Cambridge, Camilla studied Yoga Philosophy at the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies, and Mindfulness at the North London Buddhist Centre. Furthering her training under John Stirk, she likes to draw on the wisdom of Eastern and Western thought in her practice and teaching of yoga.
Camilla’s classes are open and friendly, and focus on attaining a sense of clarity, presence and peace through movement. She believes that through learning safe alignment and practicing with close attention to physical detail, we can experience a more vivid, more joyful and more embodied present moment - something which may lead to surprising discoveries on and off the mat! Camilla is passionate about sharing the beauty and benefits of yoga with students of any age, ability or background, and can’t wait to see you in class!
