Mi Vida Yoga
Libby has been a registered nurse for almost 40 years, specializing in psychiatric/mental health nursingand hospice/palliative nursing. In this early stage of almost-retirement from nursing, Libby is followingher dream of being a yoga instructor. She graduated from Mi Vida’s Sacred Heart & S.O.A.L Mystic YogaRYT 200 program in 2023, where she earned additional specialization in Chair Yoga. On the mat, Libby’sstyle leans toward the restorative flow in the hot room and room temperature. Each class featuressocially relevant readings or music and always focuses on self-love and affirmation.In her “spare” time, Libby volunteers with the Nurses Honor Guard where nurses honor fallen nurses attheir memorial services, or pays living tribute at hospice bedside. She participates in the GreaterAlbuquerque Chevre Kadisha, providing Holy washing to deceased Jewish members of our community atlocal mortuaries prior to burial. She provides education and support around advance directives and self-determined health care in NM, the US, and abroad. She is a hospice advisor to the Board of End-of-LifeOptions New Mexico.Libby is married to Charlie, and they have two amazing sons and daughters-in-law. They have twograndsons, Jack and Sam. Jack (5 years old) regularly practices yoga at his pre-school and is a master ofthe downward-facing dog with scorpion tail!
