Long periods of sitting while traveling and lack of self discipline to practice pilates while on vacation caused my back to act up for the last 8 days: huge knot in the lower back accompanied by occasional twinges bordering on spasms. I used my roller at home and concluded Marybeth’s blog of 9/2/19 was correct: use pilates to work it out. I signed up for daily reformer and tower classes by Marybeth, Ken and Erin. They took care of me. They all made suggestions on modifications and using props (that beautiful, powerful red ball!!!) to help relax the muscles. I moved cautiously and I received relief. At home, if I sat too long, I stiffened up, so I would do stretches we had done in class and the pain would subside. Priceless.
. . . As if I needed more proof of the benefits of Pilates. I so appreciate our instructors, their caring and professionalism. Thank you Marybeth, Ken and Erin (and tomorrow, Sue!)
Erin is a 2017 graduate of the Marlborough Pilates Teacher Training Program. She started as a participant at Marlborough Pilates in 2015 and had a few years prior Pilates experience as well. Erin has quickly become a very popular teacher at our studio. Erin loves teaching group classes and really enjoys the positive energy that a group can generate. Erin is also available to teach private sessions a few days a week. Erin's classes flow nicely and she puts a lot of thought into preparing well rounded workouts for participants. You will enjoy Erin's cheerful demeanor and welcoming smile.
