I honestly never thought I’d be someone who loved yoga! When my body started aching and I knew I needed to do something different for myself, I decided to give yoga a try. I started attending Delta Yoga in September of last year, and I’m so glad I did. Delta Yoga has become a place I genuinely look forward to going to each week. The studio itself is the perfect clean, peaceful, calming, and inviting. There’s also this wonderful, subtle scent throughout the studio that makes you feel like you’re walking into a little sanctuary. A huge part of why I love Delta Yoga is Amanda Adrian. I alternate between her Hatha Yoga and Slow Flow classes and have also attended some of her pop-up classes, including Nourishing Your Nervous System and Yoga Fundamentals. As someone who was completely new to yoga, Amanda made it so easy to follow. She explains every movement so clearly that I can actually close my eyes and follow along without needing to watch her. (Of course, I occasionally still have trouble figuring out which one is my right and which is my left but that’s definitely a me problem! Her voice is incredibly soothing, and she has a mantra she says in every class that I swear sometimes feels like she’s saying it just for me. Her classes have helped me physically, but the mental and emotional benefits have been just as meaningful. I leave feeling calmer, more grounded, and refreshed. I’ve also recently started taking Rhythm & Sculpt with Amanda Jacobson, and I’m loving that class as well! It’s fun to experience another instructor and another style of class, and it has made me appreciate even more how much variety Delta Yoga offers. I’m so grateful I gave yoga a chance, and even more grateful to have found Delta Yoga. What started as something I thought I needed to do for my aching body has turned into something I genuinely look forward to every week. I truly love the atmosphere, the classes, and the people who make Delta Yoga such a special place to be. ❤️
