Customer Spotlight: APEX Ninja Center
Last Updated on 27 February, 2026
A brand-new ninja gym in Maryland built to make booking, forms, and front-desk operations feel effortless from day one.
1. Introducing APEX Ninja Center
APEX Ninja Center is a new ninja gym preparing to open in Harford County, Maryland. Led by Nezhat “Nene” Baygie, the team is excited to finally be open to the public.
With offerings that include classes, open gym, weekend birthday parties, and upcoming seasonal programs like summer camp, APEX is building a community-focused facility where families can easily find and book the right experience without friction.
2. Why They Chose WellnessLiving
Nene came into onboarding already confident and hands-on with the system, noting she’d started building it all out and didn’t need a full end-to-end onboarding. That familiarity matters when a business is trying to open on a tight timeline and wants to avoid unnecessary complexity.
A key advantage for APEX is having an all-in-one operation that reduces manual work, especially around payments and tracking. During the call, the team admitted they had been discussing removing Venmo (a popular app with their clients) as a payment option because it can become “a headache” without “a proper way of tracking when people have paid,” creating extra manual follow-up.
WellnessLiving’s integrated approach helps APEX avoid those gaps and keep everything in one place as they launch.
3. What They’re Building
APEX is using WellnessLiving to get the essentials right before opening, with a big focus on client self-service and clean operations behind the scenes:
- Online booking for multiple service types, including configuring weekend birthday parties with preset times so families can book only within the slots APEX actually offers.
- Online payments and in-person checkout, with merchant processing currently in progress and hardware planned once the application is approved.
- Digital waivers and forms, starting with a business waiver (including an under-18 section), plus plans to add summer camp health forms later.
- Website widgets and lead capture tools to embed schedules and registration directly onto the APEX website.
- Branded automated emails, especially the welcome email that new clients receive at registration.
While Nene described herself as still learning this area, the widget approach gives her a clear handoff path: generate the embed code and share it with the web developer. Nene called this her next focus and looks forward to how easy the automated tools will make her upcoming email campaigns.
4. What Success Looks Like
APEX Ninja Center enjoyed a smooth, confident launch that wasn’t dependent on the website being perfect or staff doing extra manual work. Nene specifically asked whether clients could still find and book through WellnessLiving even if their external site isn’t fully updated yet, and the answer was yes, giving APEX flexibility while they finalized everything.
Over the next 6–12 months, APEX’s definition of success is clear: get clients booking the right offerings online, keep payments and reporting centralized, and make required documentation simple and digital.
As their WellnessLiving partner, Patrick summarized during form setup, “It’s all in the system, so there’s no paper trail to maintain, and everything is stored in the client profile.”
For a fast-moving new facility with a lot being built at once, that’s the kind of operational foundation that lets the team spend less time chasing details and more time welcoming families into the gym. Want to see how WellnessLiving can transform your gym?
