Customer Spotlight: Kinesi Dance Complex
Last Updated on 31 March, 2026
A fresh start for a growing dance community, built around flexible classes, special events, and a smooth member experience.
1. Introducing Kinesi Dance Complex
Ashley McElroy is launching Kinesi Dance Complex as a new chapter for her team, relocating and rebuilding their community in Port Richey, Florida. They’re moving from Tampa to Port Ritchie and choosing to “start from scratch” as they open this new location.
Kinesi Dance Complex is designed to serve both adults and youth dancers with a robust weekly schedule. Right out of the gate, Ashley is planning around 27 different class types, with options that support both drop-ins and longer-term training.
Alongside regular programming, the studio is also exploring fun, community-forward offerings like monthly line dancing as a special one-day experience.
2. Why They Chose WellnessLiving
As a brand-new setup, Ashley wanted a platform that could support a full schedule and evolving offerings without overcomplicating the launch. A key influence was seeing other businesses successfully run on WellnessLiving. In fact, Ashley mentioned she’d looked up another local business because “I knew that they used your software.”
During onboarding, Ashley also confirmed she had already reviewed mobile options in detail and made a clear choice based on what fit the studio’s current stage: She has a practical, growth-minded approach: launch with what they need today, then expand the experience later as the business scales.
3. What They’re Building
Ashley’s immediate focus is getting the essentials live and client-ready: classes, events, and a clean online booking and payment flow. With the help of WellnessLiving, she’s building out:
- A full class schedule (27 class types) with the flexibility to support both adult and youth programs
- Drop-in options for adults, and an updated approach for youth trials as well. Ashley noted that while they previously offered a free trial, now they may shift to “coming in for a drop-in class to try it out.”
- Membership structures that renew on a 4-week, 8-week, or 12-week cycle, with attendance limits based on 1, 2, or 3 classes per week
- Online waivers and minor/guardian signing, since Ashley confirmed they will need a waiver, and wants the right setup for youth accounts
- Youth program fees, including a registration fee, plus future fees like recital and costume, which they may manage through manual product-style charges
- Staff setup for a team of four to start, with room to grow, plus interest in using WellnessLiving’s time clock functionality for instructors’ scheduling and payroll
Down the line, Ashley also plans to add appointments for private lessons, including specialty requests like “choreography for weddings,” and eventually products like dance attire and shoes.
4. What Success Looks Like
For Ashley, success starts with getting Kinesi Dance Complex fully operational in WellnessLiving, with classes and events easy to find, book, and pay for. Over the next year, the vision is to expand what’s offered without needing to change systems: add private lessons when the time is right, introduce retail sales, and continue refining youth billing and program fees as the student base grows.
Most importantly, Ashley is building a foundation that can scale. With WellnessLiving supporting scheduling, memberships, waivers, and staff operations from day one, Kinesi Dance Complex is set up to grow its new Port Richey community with a streamlined experience for both families and adult dancers.
