Customer Spotlight: Nani’s Playroom
Last Updated on 27 March, 2026
A welcoming play space built to make family visits easy, organized, and accessible for every child.
1. Introducing Nani’s Playroom
Nani’s Playroom is a kid-focused indoor play space offering drop-in open play, special ticketed events, and party packages for families looking for a fun, safe place to play and celebrate. Since opening in late October, owner Jessica Brodt has been running the business solo, creating a warm, community-oriented environment, including dedicated sensory play times on Wednesdays with “lower lighting, no music, and lower capacity limits,” while keeping it open and welcoming to everyone.
2. Why They Chose WellnessLiving
Jessica came into onboarding with a clear goal: replace manual, paper-based processes with a system that can scale as the business grows. With waivers currently “all paper” and customer info living on printed forms, she wanted a platform that could support a more modern client experience, including self-serve account creation and mobile access.
She was also ready to consolidate tools, moving beyond Square-only workflows and bringing key operations (like memberships, client profiles, and checkout) into one place. WellnessLiving had everything see needed like:
- customized client profiles
- integrated messaging center
- secure and easy payment options
- 24/7 AI front desk agent
- branded mobile app for clients
A big win was seeing how WellnessLiving can support fast, in-person onboarding with the self-registration URL on a tablet, so families can create profiles and sign digitally right at the front desk instead of slowing down the check-in line.
3. What They’re Building
With WellnessLiving, Jessica is focused on building a streamlined, flexible setup that matches how families actually use the space today, while preparing for new offerings tomorrow. That includes:
- Memberships designed as a weekday-only option, with tiers for 1-3 children.
- A cleaner, digital waiver process to replace the current two-page paper intake, making check-in far less “crazy” during busy times.
- Party packages built as appointment-style bookings, with the ability to attach party terms via forms, collect deposits, and offer paid add-ons.
- Products and concessions, including coffee and add-ons (like flavors and extra shots), plus items she eventually wants available for online purchase (such as water, apple juice, and snacks), especially if she implements door access and unstaffed entry.
She’s also setting up the operational pieces behind the scenes: tracking attendance for open play, configuring taxes by item type, and ensuring checkout supports both card and cash payments.
4. What Success Looks Like
Success for Jessica looks like building a smoother customer flow, launching memberships confidently, and reducing the administrative burden of running everything manually. Longer term, she’s exploring door access to support unstaffed hours, which would make online purchasing and self-serve entry even more important.
