Aqua fitness classes that keep the community, especially active older adults, moving, connected, and feeling their best.
1. Introducing Waves-N-Wellness
Waves-N-Wellness is led by fitness instructor Brigette Swain, who has spent nearly two decades helping people stay active, and found her true niche when she “fell in love with Zumba” and later discovered Aqua Zumba. What started as word-of-mouth classes in a hotel pool has grown steadily into a multi-location schedule, including sessions in a warmer, assisted-living facility pool where she rents space monthly.
Today, Brigette serves a dedicated community that spans from the early 40s up to 85, with a special focus on seniors and the social support that comes from group movement. As she put it,
“that’s where my heart is at, is helping keeping our elderlies still moving, because they need it and they need that group setting and just being around other people.”
2. Why They Chose WellnessLiving
For Brigette, the priority was simplicity. She shared that she’s “the physical mover” and that tech has been a barrier, not just for her but also for many of her clients: “A lot of my following, they’re all older, so they’re not as tech savvy… I just needed something simple.”

With WellnessLiving, she’s building a centralized schedule across locations and class types, including Aqua Zumba and Splash. Since pricing and logistics vary by facility, she’s creating classes by location (for example, “Aqua Zumba Parkview” versus other venues) and adding clear booking instructions, including links for clients who must register through a partner facility.
She’s also setting up key operational tools that will reduce paperwork and improve client organization, including:
- Digital waivers and forms, including adding required SilverSneakers paperwork into the platform so client documents stay stored in one place
- Client groups (including a SilverSneakers group) to keep attendance and outreach organized
- A move away from physical punch cards toward digital passes, so she can “get away from the paper punch card” while still offering the same flexible options
- Streamlined payments, using WellnessLiving alongside her current payment mix (cash, checks, Venmo/Cash App, and credit cards through Paragon)
And even though she’s aiming to reduce paper overall, Brigette also appreciated that she can still print schedules when needed, especially when sharing with local physicians.
4. What Success Looks Like
Success, for her, looks like having something that truly feels “as simple as… just writing it down on paper,” but far more dependable.
