Customer Spotlight: Mountain Revival
Last Updated on 26 March, 2026
A recovery-focused wellness studio bringing high-touch bodywork and contrast therapy to a busy resort community, with a smoother way to book, package, and pay.
1. Introducing Mountain Revival
Mountain Revival is a wellness and recovery business based in a resort ski town, serving a mix of locals and visitors who may come in once a year or seasonally. Pamela Shifrin and her team offer appointment-based services like custom massages, custom facials, Japanese sports massage, Mayan abdominal massage, and prenatal massage. They also offer a private recovery room experience that includes a cold plunge, infrared sauna, and mobility tools, with sessions booked for 30 or 60 minutes, and the option to accommodate a second person when appropriate.
With roughly 25–30 staff members and both service add-ons and retail items, Pamela is building an operation that needs to run efficiently even during peak season.
2. Why They Chose WellnessLiving
Pamela is moving to WellnessLiving from Zenoti after finding the previous setup overly complex, especially around how packages and membership-style credits behaved. As she put it, “Zenoti was very confusing,” particularly when clients would finish their sessions but still appear to have an active membership, or accidentally stack multiple active packages.
She also shared that she’s been “struggling when I talk to different platforms about being able to do what I would like to do,” and wanted a clearer, more reliable structure for packages and credits. WellnessLiving’s session pass behavior aligned more closely with what she was trying to offer (for example, a package that renews based on time or usage), without forcing awkward workarounds.
WellnessLiving had all the tools she needed to run and grow her business smoothly, like:
- flexible booking options
- integrated client reviews
- automated reminder messages
- built-in SMS and email marketing
- advanced reporting and analytics
3. What They’re Building
Pamela’s immediate focus is getting bookings and operations dialed in, starting with appointments and book-a-spot assets. She’s planning to:
- Set up streamlined scheduling for multiple service types with 50- and 80-minute durations, plus 10-minute cleanup time padding.
- Build the recovery room as a reservable asset, including packages and the potential to add an extra charge for a second person.
- Transition purchase options from Zenoti into a clearer session-pass approach, including locals-focused perks like “10% off retail” and discounted recovery room access.
- Migrate key business data from Zenoti, including about 1,000 client profiles, attendance history, upcoming appointments (through April 2026), products, and remaining credits.
- Improve internal operations with staff profiles, time clock, and role-based pay rates, especially for team members who split time between the front desk and services.
Just as importantly, she wants client information to be useful at a glance. Pamela is aiming to clearly identify locals and hotel guests (she’s located inside a hotel) so that discounts and context are visible without digging through profiles.
4. What Success Looks Like
Pamela’s timeline is ambitious but intentional. She’s prioritizing confidence and clarity in her systems as she creates the foundation for her studio: “I struggle with the technology… I’m a massage therapist… the computer stuff is not my thing.”
Success with WellnessLiving means Mountain Revival can handle high-season demand with less manual work: clean scheduling for appointments and the recovery room, packages that behave the way clients expect, clear client labeling for locals and hotel guests, and a backend that supports a growing team.
With the branded app also in motion, Pamela is laying the foundation for a more seamless, professional client experience as Mountain Revival continues to grow. You can follow their journey on Instagram.
