Achieve Therapy and Fitness: A Full-Service Gym Built to Last
Last Updated on 20 July, 2026
After more than a decade on legacy software, Michelle Ellis moved Achieve Therapy and Fitness to WellnessLiving — and brought her whole membership model with her.
A Gym That Does More Than Most
Achieve Therapy and Fitness is not a single-purpose gym. Walk in, and you have access to free weights, machines, and cardio. Sign up for a class, and you’ll find a full schedule of group fitness sessions. Book an appointment, and you can work with a personal trainer or a Stretchology specialist — a stretching and flexibility-focused service that sets Achieve apart from every standard gym in the area.
Led by Rivky Michelle Ellis, the gym has built a membership architecture to match. Single memberships, youth and student plans, couple memberships, family memberships, and senior options. Members who access the gym through Medicare reimbursement programs — SilverSneakers, OnePass, RenewActive, and Silver&Fit — are supported with access rules that vary by plan.
That breadth is the result of years of growth. Running it on outdated infrastructure had become a growing constraint.
Ten Years on ShapeNet. Time for Something Better.
Achieve had been on ShapeNet for more than a decade. It worked — until it didn’t. The billing tools felt stuck. Online purchasing was effectively absent.
“We don’t really have a good way for folks to purchase online. It’s not on our website.”
Memberships were handled by phone or in person. Forms were printed, signed, and filed. Michelle described the setup as “a little archaic” — not broken, but well behind where a gym serving this many members and this many program types needed to be.
The decision to move was about more than convenience. It was about what Achieve was trying to become: a gym where members could complete everything (registration, forms, purchases) without a phone call. Michelle wanted a platform that felt “more progressive.” WellnessLiving was the answer.
What Achieve Offers Its Members
Achieve runs three service lines from one facility. Open gym gives members access to the full equipment floor. Group fitness classes run on a standard and premium schedule. Appointments cover both personal training and Stretchology sessions.
The purchase menu reflects the range of members Achieve serves. Individual class passes — including 10-class packs — sit alongside small-group training options. Monthly memberships span from individual to family, with youth and student pricing and senior-specific plans. The gym also supports members who come in through SilverSneakers, OnePass, RenewActive, and Silver&Fit, with each program carrying its own access rules.
Forms and waivers are built into the client journey. Health history forms and intake documents attach to the client account and are required before booking. “Perfect,” Michelle said when describing how that flow would work. A member who arrives without a signed waiver cannot book. A member who has completed everything can manage their own account without calling the front desk.
Why Michelle Chose WellnessLiving Over ShapeNet
The comparison was not complicated. ShapeNet served Achieve for a long time. But it could not put purchasing online. It could not attach forms to the booking flow. It could not give members a self-serve experience that matched what a modern gym should offer.
The move collapsed what had been a manual, phone-heavy operation into a self-serve system. WellnessLiving offered all of it in one platform.
- easy online booking
- automated marketing
- customised digital forms
- staff management app
- advanced reporting
The reporting capability mattered specifically. Achieve tracks visit history for members on reimbursement programs — SilverSneakers and others require documentation of attendance. WellnessLiving’s reporting gives Michelle and her team the data they need without pulling it manually.
What Michelle and Her Team Are Building
Michelle built Achieve Therapy and Fitness into something that most gyms never become: a facility where a senior on a Medicare reimbursement plan, a family buying a group membership, and an individual working with a personal trainer can all find exactly what they need.
That took more than a decade to build. The software it runs on had not kept pace. Moving to WellnessLiving was not a leap into something new — it was bringing the infrastructure up to match the gym that already existed.
Members who struggled to purchase online can now do it in minutes. Forms that used to require a printer and a phone call now live on the client profile, required and stored. The front desk handles what it should handle. The platform handles the rest.
Achieve was already the gym its community needed. Now it runs like one.
