Meet Sharon Lacy, Yoga Shala Titusville Founder

Sharon Lacy’s path to opening Yoga Shala Titusville started years ago. She was a nutritionist in the US military, but after an injury forced her to leave the service, she sought rehabilitation through Pilates.

Her can-do attitude, rooted in her military background, eventually inspired her to start teaching Pilates herself. Then, a friend encouraged her to try yoga.

Initially, Sharon wasn’t interested, preferring high-intensity workouts like weightlifting and running. However, she tried a Bikram yoga class and was surprised at how challenging it was. Humbled by the experience, Sharon told herself she would master the practice.

After making yoga a part of her routine, Sharon couldn’t deny the physical and mental benefits. As she continued her practice, she felt calmer and noticed less physical pain.

Healing and rehabilitation became integral to her life. She even became a massage therapist to broaden her rehabilitation skills. “Everything I got into was therapeutic for me, but I could transmute all of the information and therapy I received into other people,” she explains.

Sharon attended Bikram yoga teacher training and spent 18 years practicing and studying with her mentor before moving to Titusville to open Yoga Shala and share healing and rehabilitation with the community.
