She said Momence saves card information, and businesses “can withdraw money whenever they want.”
When she finally got in touch with support, she was brushed off and told the app was safe and the transactions were traceable. Here’s how she described it. “I’ve spoken with Momence customer service. They continued to tell me it was safe no matter how many times I explained a business just took money out of my account.”
This isn’t the only example of poor customer service. One client said support was so unresponsive that an online review was her only outlet. “The supposed chat function directs you to the website and requires a login. After you log in, the support function disappears. Leaving the review here is the only way I can find to express the issue,” she said.
Another business owner had similar trouble. “I have been locked out twice in the space of six weeks — both times for a period of more than 72 hours. I had to escalate the issue myself to get it resolved,” they said.

“I’m very frustrated,” she said. “I’ve restarted my phone, uninstalled/reinstalled it, and now I can’t log in. I had high hopes when the login screen came up, but the ‘login’ button gets greyed out and nothing happens. Horrible app. I wish I didn’t have to use this to schedule classes at my studio.”

Another client was so fed up that they switched software. “The app seems to want to update every time it opens. It won’t dismiss notifications and is slow to load,” they said. Many students complained about the functionality, so they moved to another booking system.
