Behind the Build: Meet the Customers Who Shaped Release 67

At WellnessLiving, every feature starts with a conversation—because no one knows what works better than the people who use our software every day.
From scheduling to marketing to fitness programming, Release 67 is all about streamlining your operations, increasing visibility, and helping your team work smarter. And behind each update? Real feedback from real customers, whose insight helped shape the features you see today.
Let’s meet some of the voices behind the build.
Marketing Metrics That Matter
Lauren Filocco of OpenBarre Studios is a data-savvy studio owner and former marketing strategist. When she told us she had been spending hours digging through exports to get insights about email performance, we knew we had work to do.
Thanks to input from Lauren and others, WellnessLiving users have exactly what they need to test subject lines, track engagement, and follow up at the right time. The Marketing Campaigns Report now includes open rates, click rates, unsubscribe counts, and recipient-level engagement—all in one real-time dashboard.
No more guesswork. Just the insights needed to refine your campaigns and grow.
Flexible Payment Plans for Real-Life Scheduling
For Jillian Marini, owner of Songbirds Music, Art & Dance Center, supporting busy families means being flexible—especially when it comes to payments.
She told us that parents would often call and ask to delay a payment or restructure their plan. Before, she had to cancel and recreate the payment plan just to change a date. It was tedious for staff, and confusing for clients
But thanks to her feedback, staff can now edit the withdrawal date on future payments within an existing payment plan—no cancellations or workarounds required. Whether a client needs more time or wants to reschedule, the change applies instantly, and automated billing continues uninterrupted.
For any business that allows clients to pay in installments, his improvement simplifies billing workflows, supports your clients when their needs change, and helps maintain steady, predictable revenue.
Frictionless Onboarding: Lead Capture, Now with Packages
At LIVunLtd, Mathew Cassidy works with a range of businesses who rely on introductory packages to turn leads into long-term clients. But until now, the lead capture widget only supported memberships and passes—not packages. This left staff having to manually assign packages after every form submission.
With this new update, you can assign packages as free offers in your Lead Capture Form—making it easier to automate that first impression and reduce manual work. Leads get a personalized intro experience right away, and your staff gets time back to focus on other things.
Membership Hold Notifications: Keeping Everyone in the Loop
Transparency builds trust—and Julie Biller, owner of Zen Hot Yoga, wanted her members to always feel informed. Previously, clients weren’t automatically notified when their memberships were placed on hold, and this sometimes lead to confusion. Julie flagged this gap to our team, and in Release 67, we closed it.
Now, businesses can automatically notify clients via email, SMS, or push notification when a pass or membership is paused. You choose the timing—either when the hold is applied or when it begins—and your clients stay in the know.
Google Calendar Sync—Now Smarter Across Locations
Mark Roder, founder of PureStryk Golf HQ, runs multiple franchise locations—and his staff float between them. But syncing availability across separate business IDs was impossible, leading to double bookings and scheduling chaos. They needed one calendar they could depend on, no matter how many accounts a coach was linked to.
With Mark’s feedback, we enhanced Google Calendar Sync to work across Business IDs. Now, when a staff member is booked at one location, that time is automatically blocked on all linked calendars—no action needed.
It’s seamless scheduling for multi-location teams.
FitBUILDER: Designed for Bigger, Bolder Classes
High-energy group classes demand clarity—and Anthony Alvarado, co-owner of Reign Fitness in Phoenix, wanted a better view for his athletes. “Our screen was too crowded. Clients couldn’t see the full workout,” Anthony said.
In response, we launched a two-column layout for the FitBUILDER Whiteboard, giving coaches more space to display programming in class. Whether you’re running large classes or simply want better in-room visibility, this layout maximizes screen real estate and elevates the coaching flow.
But we didn’t stop there.
Thanks to continued feedback from Anthony and other FitBUILDER users, we’ve also added:
-
Five new scoring types: Calories, Distance, Points, Completion, and Comments
-
Flexible calendar starts: Set any day of the week to match your programming cycle
-
CAP programming integration: Weekly workouts auto-loaded for CrossFit Affiliates
It’s a game-changer for coaches—and a toolkit that just keeps getting better.
